Reiki and Chakra Healing - How they help balance energy and promote well-being.

I love Reiki and Chakra healing; I believe deeply in its ability to promote natural healing and a sense of wellbeing and relaxation. I have had some fantastic feedback from my case studies. I am now qualified in Reiki level 1 and level 2 and as a Chakra Healing practitioner.

I have suffered with migraines from around the age of 8 or 9 and I have a vivid memory of my grandad placing his hands on my head and sending healing to me and my headache going away, I remember he was quite spiritual too, so it has been a fascinating experience for me on my personal Reiki journey.

I love having Reiki myself, I’ve had many, in person reiki treatments over the years, I think this is why I’ve wanted to learn it to add to the holistic therapies I offer. I used it a lot after my marriage breakdown to help heal me and build myself back up, in combination with other selfcare practices like daily meditation, journalling etc. I am so excited to be able to offer this to you.

I didn’t really have any experience of distant reiki at all, and didn’t really know how it would work but once I had been trained and attuned, we practiced on one another and I was amazed at the fact it works, and there are no limits to where you can send it or what you can experience. I literally felt the energy enter my body, a tingling warm sensation that travelled up my arm, up my neck, head and down through my body, and specifically to areas of my body I’d been struggling with, in particular my left eye, throat and heart areas (heartbreak not a physical heart issue). I experienced amazing colours too and felt completely calm and relaxed afterwards. Its amazing! I also had similar feedback from the people who have received distant reiki or chakra healing from me as well. I love, love, love the fact that if I have a client who suffers from anxiety, or someone can’t leave their home that I can still offer this amazing treatment to them.

What is Reiki?

It is a type of hands-on healing has been around for thousands of years and Reiki was developed from these ancient healing techniques in the late 1800’s by a Japanese man called Dr Mikao Usui. It is a form of natural energy healing that works on the auric field of the body to balance, harmonise and unblock the flow of energy.

It works on the belief that emotional or mental trauma and dis-ease is manifested in the body as trapped energy and that by encouraging the flow of energy, the body, mind and spirit can start to heal itself.

Reiki translated means Universal (Rei) Life force (Ki). It is this flow of Reiki energy that enables the healing process to begin.

What happens during an energy healing treatment?

I offer two types of treatments in-person and distant healing.

In-person treatment:

An ‘in-person’ Reiki or Chakra healing session will take place in my lovely, peaceful home-based salon. At the beginning of the session, I will go through your consultation form and discuss any areas you may be struggling with at the moment.

During the treatment you will lie down fully clothed on my comfortable padded and heated treatment couch, snuggled under a blanket. It will be a calm with a candle burning, relaxing background music and I will usually have some crystals out too.

At the start of the actual treatment, I will get you to take some deep breaths and focus on your breathing then I will place my hands over various energy centres in your body, the chakras, and channel Reiki energy into your auric field.

You may experience tingling sensations in any part of your body, warmth, cold, see colours or images behind closed eyes. The experiences during the session are distinctly individual, as it depends on why you’re having the treatment. Reiki is a very gentle, yet powerful form of energy healing and continues to work through the body after the treatment has finished.

At the end of the treatment, we will discuss what I picked up during the treatment and what you felt and how you are feeling.

It will take around 45-60 minutes £40

Distant treatment:

Because Reiki is an energy therapy that knows no boundaries in distance and time, I can also offer you a Distant Reiki Healing, where we connect over WhatsApp video or Facebook Messenger to send your healing.

It is a slightly different experience to an in-person treatment but no less effective in terms of the benefits you receive. It’s perfect if you are unable to get out of the house, suffer with anxiety or live too far away to come in person. We link up over video chat or message if that’s what you prefer.

To do the treatment I will send you some music to listen to and all you need to do is find somewhere comfortable to lie down (where you will not be disturbed) and relax whilst I send distant Reiki healing to you. I will inform you when I’m starting and once I have finished then we can discuss what you felt and what I picked up during your treatment.

Treatment will be around 30-45 minutes. £30

How many treatments do you recommend?

If you decide that Reiki is something you would like to continue, I advise having four treatments, one a week to start with then followed by a monthly treatment for ongoing maintenance.

Reflexology and Reiki

60-minute treatment £65

This is a wonderful combination of two of my favourite holistic healing treatments. I will use the ancient art of Reflexology. There can be blockages in the natural energy flow in the body, I will use Reflexology applied massage techniques and stimulation of reflex points located in the feet, if there are any blockages they will be cleared, and this allows the energy to flow freely again. I will spend around 35 minutes following a Reflexology routine then I will move on to Reiki and place my hands over various energy centres in your body, the chakras, and channel Reiki energy into your auric energy field. You may experience tingling sensations in any part of your body, warmth, cold, see colours or images behind closed eyes. The experiences during the session are distinctly individual. Reiki is a very gentle, yet powerful form of energy healing and continues to work through the body after the treatment has finished. Use this treatment package to promote healing and a more balanced way of life.

60 minutes £65

Indian Head Massage (IHM) and Reiki

This is a wonderful combination of two amazing holistic healing treatments. I will spend the first half of this treatment on a modern version of IHM, conducted whilst lying down, massage oil will be applied to the skin and hair.

I will settle you on my heated massage couch under a lovely fluffy blanket, you will be laying on your back. I use a gentle massage technique on the neck, decolletage, top of arms, scalp and this part of the treatment ends with a wonderful lymph drainage pressure point face massage.

I will now move on to Reiki and place my hands over various energy centres in your body, the chakras, and channel Reiki energy into your auric energy field. You may experience tingling sensations in any part of your body, warmth, cold, see colours or images behind closed eyes. The experiences during the session are distinctly individual. Reiki is a very gentle, yet powerful form of energy healing and continues to work through the body after the treatment has finished.

This is an excellent treatment combination for healing, relieving stress, tension, fatigue, insomnia, headaches, migraines and sinus problems. The experience will be deeply calming and relaxing, leaving you feeling energised and revitalised. You will be so relaxed afterwards!

Holistic Facial and Reiki

This divinely relaxing Holistic Facial and Reiki treatment package is a wonderful way to treat your skin. Regular facials are important to eliminate toxins, stimulate regeneration and manage the signs of ageing. Our faces carry lots of stress, and the muscles work hard every day.

This is a beautifully relaxing facial using the gorgeous Charlie Locks Professional range skincare products that are: essential oil based, natural and organic products, giving you the results you deserve. I will use either the Neroli or the Rose and Immortelle range depending on your skincare needs.

My Holistic Facial includes a wonderfully relaxing facial massage and Reiki, whilst your face mask works its magic.
